A SIMPLE REASON WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
Real Life Media was born out of the need for high school athletes to become aware of and take advantage of the scholarships available to them.
I did not apply for a scholarship of any kind by using the reasoning that: "it's such a hassle to fill out forms or I'm not smart enough or athletic enough," but I'm telling you that you can't win if you don't apply." And I did'nt apply so you must, in order to get the scholarship funding that I ignored. I'm half way serious about that last line, but please, even if you have to set aside 15 minutes every couple of days until the application is complete and mail it to 3-4 colleges you wish to attend apply, that's great!
Trust me, you're going to want to get a college degree:
*9 out of 10 fastest growing jobs in the next decade will require a substantial amount of training above and beyond a high school diploma and 12 out of the 20 fastest growing occupation will require at LEAST a bachelor degree or higher. (U.S. Department of Labor)
*Workers 18 and over sporting bachelors degrees earn an average of $51,206 a year, while those with a high school diploma earn $27,915. But wait, there's more. Workers with an advanced degree make an average of $74,602, and those without a high school diploma average $18,734.
